Carpentry Joiner Replacement
I carefully reassembled the broken pieces, using calipers to remeasure every distance before recreating the entire part in Creo Parametric. I then 3D printed the part and sent him the part to take home and verify its fit.
He responded to me the next day saying that the part fit perfectly and that he was sending my model to his friend to have it machined out of steel to finally fix his joiner.
I was brought a broken component from a coworker’s joiner at home, which he needed to replace but didn’t want to pay full price on from the original manufacturer. He wanted a CAD model to send to a machinist friend to recreate the part for him, so he brought the broken pieces to have them analyzed and recreated in Creo.
